Government Polytechnic Munakot is a Government Polytechnic located in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. The institute was established in the year 2011 through Government Order No. 1758/XXIV(8)/10-98/10 dated 03-12-2010 with the objective of improving the fundamentals of engineering through quality technical education and professional development.

The institute is affiliated to Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Government Polytechnic Munakot was established to bring diploma-level technical education to the youth of the remote and border region.

OUR BEGINNING

Technical Education in a Remote & Border Region

In view of the importance of technical education in the present scenario, the Government of Uttarakhand has been establishing technical educational institutions in different districts of the state to promote technical education.

In this sequence, with the objective of taking diploma-level technical education to the youth of the remote and border areas, the Government of Uttarakhand established Government Polytechnic Munakot in Kalipokhari village of Munakot Development Block, Pithoragarh district, through Government Order No. 1758/XXIV(8)/10-98/10 dated 03.12.2010.
